Top 10 Best Call Blocker Apps for iDevice

With the advancement in technology and spread of the marketing world, receiving numerous calls at least one day is no more a new thing for us. Being in such a situation where you can neither completely ignore the call nor receive it creates a sense of irritation combined with frustration. Not all of us can take up phone calls at classrooms, Lectures, Offices, etc and generally when we do, it’s this Spam caller! To get a solution on this we have a number of apps to block calls on phones which shield us from such useless calls and save our time as well.

TOP 10 CALL BLOCKER APPS FOR IOS

Here is an article dedicated to the same. Not all apps are designed for iOS and this nobody better than an iPhone user could understand. Finding best of the apps for iPhone user is always one challenge. So to make it easier for you, here are a few most recommended apps by users themselves and according to our experiences with them as well.

1. Nomorobo

Personally standing out as my favorite app, Nomorobo is one of the best apps having a large database to block telemarketers, spam calls, and robocallers. It indeed works very well and has a clear business and privacy policy.

This app can be called as an all-rounder one in case of blocking calls and maintaining privacy. It provides you the best experience. Since it is a paid app it undoubtedly gives you the best to experience and you can for sure trust their business model.

The subscriptions offered on monthly or yearly basis are one and you can refer their site or the app for further procedures and rates. Also, the point worth noting is that the subscription model doesn’t allow you to share the service between iPhones that share the same Apple ID. If you are the one sharing a single iTunes account with your whole family or friends group, that will not be compatible here with nomorobo.

The company has estimated to have over 51,000 numbers and claims to have blocked over 150 Million calls. It is a winner of the 2013 FTC robocall challenge. The list is constantly updated and can update without having launched the app.

The feature that attracted me the most is that nomorobo can silently block spam calls and hence you will not get notified or irritated even if you receive spam calls.

2. Truecaller

The name most of us have had come across for at least once till date. Proving to be the most promising and convenient app for searching for unknown numbers and also blocking the spam calls. This indeed is one interesting app. You will get this app for free on the Play Store. It there markets itself as a Spam identification and blocking app.

Usage:

For using this app in a basic way, you will have to create your account here. However, they also provide an option if you want your information to be searchable. It basically is a free app but you can upgrade it if you wish to remove the ads it shows constantly. You can opt for the monthly subscriptions it provides.

3. Call Block

Call block is an app provided by Rocketship Apps. This app claims to have 3 Million numbers in their database. The feature being it avoids contact access and having a fair business model through in-app purchase. It is not as much user-friendly as truecaller and Nomorobo and does not hold a great interface.

4. Hiya

Hiya appears to be partners with T-Mobile and Samsung to offer OEM services and my assumption is they are just using information from this app to improve its data. However, if you are comfortable with it, Hiya is not a bad option really. Their blocking spam calls works very well.

Hiya being the app needing to access your contacts so as to avoid accidental blocking people. It does ask for access to your contacts but you can bypass it. Nomorobo can do this without accessing your contacts and hence stands out to be higher.

Another backlog Hiya holds is that it cannot send spam calls to your voicemail without accessing your contacts and also you miss on features like contacts lookup.

5. Robokiller

Being the 2015 FTC Robocall competition winner and costing $0.99 per month, Robokiller is one of the most preferred apps for blocking spam calls.

If you receive a call from a number you do not recognize, you can simply decline the call and Robokiller’s advanced Caller ID will show you information on the number to help you figure out whether to or not answer the call. Within seconds, the call will ring back to you to answer or decline.

From there, you can choose to add the number to the Robbokiller blocked number list. Over the time, your phone will have a tailored blacklist of numbers and you will receive 80% Fewer unwanted calls than you would without Robokiller!

The only drawback being it requires access to your contacts. You cannot use the app without allowing access.

6. Sync.Me

Sync.me is that category of the app which requires access to your contacts or else you will not be able to make use of it. Although Blocking spam calls isn’t the main job for this app to perform, it does it pretty well.

The main goal this app works for is that of pairing your contacts with social media profiles in order to identify incoming calls whether you have them stored in your contacts or not.

The app comes for free but if you wish to, you can buy many other features on this app as duplicate merging, background updates, etc.

Other features this app consists of Blocking calls from Hidden Numbers, Calls from number showing as private and outgoing international calls. Other beings that it displays ratings and reviews for that specific number given by the users itself.
